In April 2004, we were pleased to discover another extremely rare piece of Nova Scotia glass. It was a "Nova Scotia Acadian" plate. What is rare about this plate is that it is in the colour "Ice Blue". Although "Ice Blue" is a known colour in Victorian pressed glass, it was never recorded to have been made in Nova Scotia. To the best of our knowledge, ice blue is not listed in any book for Nova Scotia glass and "Acadian" has never been seen in any other colour ever before. How exciting for all glass collectors!
